Meredith Arcari Luciano
Meredith Arcari Luciano is a dedicated Teaching Artist, Certified Teacher, and Master Gardener who is passionate about fostering connections between art, nature, and well-being. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education and Geography and has been creating inclusive, hands-on programs that inspire environmental stewardship, artistic expression, and personal healing.
Growing up in Hartford, CT, Meredith developed a deep love for gardening while working alongside her grandmother. She learned that even the smallest spaces could nurture biodiversity and provide fresh food. This passion led her to establish her first edible garden at the New Britain Museum of American Art, reinforcing her belief in the power of sustainable, community-centered green spaces.
As the co-founder of Arcari Flora, Meredith designs and leads nature-based programs that integrate sensory gardens, habitat restoration, mixed-media art, and holistic health principles. Her work focuses on rebuilding soil health, preserving native flora and fauna, and creating meaningful educational experiences that connect individuals to the land. She also documents landscapes and ecosystems through painting and photography, using storytelling to advocate for conservation.
In addition to her work with Arcari Flora, Meredith collaborates with the American Mural Project on installations that promote community engagement and highlight the power of art. Her experience at Garden of Light, a health food store, sparked her interest in holistic health and nutrition, merging her passion for wellness with her creative and environmental pursuits. She is currently expanding her expertise in holistic health, deepening her understanding of how nature, art, and wellness intersect to inform her programs.
Meredith is committed to the concepts of healing, human flourishing, and recovery, which she weaves into her programs to help individuals reconnect with nature, creativity, and themselves. She continues to expand ARCARI FLORA through new programs, collaborations, and healing-centered practices. Inspired by both nature and her role as a mother, she remains dedicated to cultivating spaces where creativity, well-being, and environmental stewardship thrive.
